Fostering
Fostering gives a rabbit a safe, loving home while they wait for their forever family. By becoming a foster carer for Katie’s Bunny Burrow, you’ll be making a huge difference to a rabbit in need while also helping us create space to rescue more rabbits.
We’ll support you throughout the fostering process and work with you to find a rabbit that suits your home, experience and circumstances. All veterinary fees for rabbits in foster care are covered by Katie’s Bunny Burrow, so you can focus on providing them with the love, care and comfortable home they deserve.

Step 1 — Complete our fostering form
Start by completing our fostering application form. This tells us a little about you, your home, your experience with rabbits and the type of foster placement you may be able to offer.

Step 2 — Find the right rabbit
We’ll have a chat with you about the rabbits currently needing foster homes. We’ll consider their individual personalities, needs and circumstances to find a rabbit who we think will be a good fit for you and your home.

Step 3 — Prepare their new space
Before your foster rabbit arrives, you’ll need to prepare a safe, comfortable and enriching space for them. We’ll provide guidance to help ensure your setup meets our rabbit welfare standards and gives them everything they need to thrive.

Step 4 — Welcome your foster rabbit
It’s time to welcome your new house guest! We’ll help make the transition as smooth as possible and will be available to provide advice and support while your foster rabbit settles into their temporary home.

Step 5 — Keep us updated
We love hearing how our rabbits are getting on! We’ll ask you to provide regular updates, photos and information about their personality and progress. These updates also help us understand them better and ultimately find the right forever home for them.
